My name is Melissa Wicklund, and I am the lead designer for WM Designs. I have been a [graphic] designer in some fashion for almost 20 years. I have always tried to fill my days with some sort of artistic, creative outlet. Ever since I won the coolest cabbage patch kid in a coloring contest as a little girl, I was sure I’d be doing some form of art for the rest of my life. I grew up in the south bay area of beautiful California. I traveled down to San Diego to attend SDSU for graphic design, and I instantly fell in love with this big town. There is endless inspiration here, from the gorgeous beaches and cliffs, the valleys and mountains, and even out east into the beautiful high deserts.

If I’m not designing something for someone, I am usually found somewhere trying to solve a problem (that probably isn’t mine). To kill any extra time I may have, I keep busy with my two boys, and my inexhaustible list of hobbies, which includes, but is not limited to: cooking and baking, camping and hiking, offroading in my jeep, out on our little old ski boat, enjoying nature anywhere and every where, making jewelry or furniture, arts and crafts with my boys, welding with my husband, watching old movies, event and party planning, and looking for answers to all kinds of crazy questions.
